Hiring Owner Operator and Company OTR Truck Drivers in Omaha, NE
Omaha is the largest city in the state of Nebraska and is conveniently located along the Missouri River, near the border of Missouri. This makes it an especially accessible transit hub and while it may not be one of the largest cities, Omaha is home to four Fortune 500 companies, including Berkshire Hathaway – and Berkshire’s founder Warren Buffet – along with Kiewit Corporation, Union Pacific Corporation, and Mutual of Omaha.
I-80 runs across the state of Nebraska into Omaha and most of the state’s population lives around the city. The second-largest city in the state – Lincoln – is just 55 miles away from Omaha. As a result, most of the manufacturing in the state is near these two cities, making trucking an especially critical part of the region’s economy.
